Carpet Golf features various elements of a golf course which can be placed on a table or floor to produce your own golf course. The players then select their own miniature golfer to play with. Score cards are provided to keep track of the play.

To complete the game, each player in turn arranges the components in the set to lay out a hole. The winner of the game completes 9 holes with the least number of strokes. The normal rules of golf apply.The golfers have a clever spring-lever device built-in which allow clubs to be attached and removed easily and enable to player to adjust the strength of a swing using a finger action.
