The gameplay is fantastic fun - including crossbows and catapults that really do work. Castle towers with "explosive" special effects that send your enemies flying and some serious spells to cast upon anyone who dares oppose you.

So set out your castle keeps, tents, towers, crossbows and catapults. Build your rampart defenses and place your warriors in strategic positions. Then take it in turns to fire your projectiles - including the deadly fireballs, boiling oil and boulder bursts. Destroy your enemies defenses and weapons of awesome power before the destroy you.

Players build their fortification, then take alternate turns shooting the down the opponent's pieces (walls, men, flags) with plastic discs fired from the crossbow and catapults. Players have the option to move men in place of shooting to help man weapons, or even move a weapon into a different location. Send the opposing army into confusion, get extra shots, or recover lost men by knocking-down enemy flags and tent. Special projectiles can cause damage over a wider area with "rings of destruction", and can even damage crossbows and catapults. Spells have completely random effects, and can turn out good or bad for the casting player. Various scenarios and victory conditions can also be made - if agreed by both players.
