Description
Defenders of ClayArt is a game designed and published by B2FGames in Tachikawa, Japan. This game is currently sold by retailers in Japan only but whole components and the rulebook are written in English planned for worldwide publishing, though not yet achieved as of Aug. 2008.
Introductory text from the rulebook:
At a gallery in the city, or a studio in the countryside, snobbish artists, each thinking of him/herself as a defender of art, bicker with each other over works of "art". Much ado about nothing.(Welcome to the world of art critics. No talent necessary!)
You, as one of these artists, criticize the works. If your critique is pointed, you win the honor of being the true defender of art.
In this game, the players make clay sculptures with a certain theme, and criticize (rather than review) them. You can earn points when your critique matches the others'. The player with the most points at the end of the game is the winner.First Edition of this game is named "Clay Art Guardians" or 造形家倶楽部.
The rule is uploaded at 1999,
participate at Hippodice Spieleclub's Author Competition 2002,
published at March 2003 in Japan,
revised the rule at September 2003. -
