Fight for Tobruk

Fight for Tobruk

  • Description

This is a conflict simulation of Rommel's attack on Tobruk in June 1942. The game is based on Conflict Game Company's "The Fall of Tobruk" but is not a reproduction, according to the designer.

"The Fall of Tobruk" is a tactical game in which each turn represents one day, each hex represents 170 meters, and units are companies or battalions. The components include:
    - B&W cardstock coversheet
    - six-page rulebook containing two pages of rules, a blank page, setup instructions, designer's notes, tables, charts and OOB
    - B&W cardstock game turn track
    - yellow cardstock A4-sized hex map
    - cardstock sheet containing 53 uncut counters in two colors

Fredrik Malmberg started Wellington Wargames (later Swedish Games Production) at 14 and published a magazine "The Combat". "The Fall of Tobruk" was his second design, with 1,000 copies being printed and mimeographed.
