  • Description

Exceptionally well designed card game where it's even possible to score choosing the dark side by committing a crime.

Game consists of 53 cards which have to be used for the object of the game to dispose of the cards in your hand and collect as many counters as possible while doing so.

It can be done by the following:

    - commit a crime
    - arrest a criminal
    - declaring a posse of inspectors
    - founding a police college
    - exposing a nest of criminals

Gameplay is demanding and not easy to manage - obviously one of the better games of the publisher regarding game flow and -feeling.

Card graphics must rank in the top 5 of all the games published by Pepys.

Interesting note: There were 2 editions of this game, differing completely in the design of the Police Constable cards.
The reason why the company did this has still to be found out...

The reference in the Description is correct, there were two different styles of the policeman card in the first and second edition. The first saw a realistic policeman, in the second, he was replaced by a cartoon policeman, with the number 49 on his collar. I believe this was probably due to the success of a radio series called PC 49. Maybe Pepys saw a chance to take advantage of this 'free advertising'.
