JokerFace

JokerFace

  • Description

JokerFace is a card game where players try to run out of cards they are holding. Players connect cards from their hand to those played face-up on the table. Cards are connected by matching symbols (Hearts, Diamonds, Spades and Clubs). Some cards have Jokers on them, which are wild. There are also 8 Face cards (King, Queen, Jack, and Ace) that give players special abilities during the game. If players can place a card that connects to two cards simultaneously, they may play an additional card the same turn. Players start their turns by drawing a card, so playing more than one each turn is vital. Each card also has text on it (Blue or Red), that create special circumstances (Rotating cards 90 degrees, Flipping them 180 degrees, and Moving them to another location on the "board"). Some cards played allow you to automatically play additional cards, and some force you to draw more.

There are three ways to "move" cards in the game.

Rotate- This is when you have connected a card to the "board" by connecting identical symbols. Once connected, you may sometimes be able to rotate a card. You then turn it 90 degree in either direction (clockwise or counter-clockwise). At this point, the symbols on adjacent sides need not match any more.

Flip- Like rotating, the card must first be connected to the board in a normal fashion. You then rotate the card 180 degrees. Again, the symbols do not need to match after the card has been flipped.

Move- When you move card, it keeps its orientation, but is now connected to a new card. That is, you do not flip or rotate the card, and when it is moved, the symbols need not match on adjacent sides.
