The map represents an ocean with 6 islands and contains a grid for movement, set up area for the red and blue fleet. The fleets consist of battleships, cruisers, destroyers, u-boats, etc. Each unit is a lead flat which is rare to find.
An update of the game flow and rules will follow but its primarily a die roll, move and attack game.
This is one of the most interesting of the old wargames, with simple rules (though they do need some clarification) which lead to subtlety in play and an exciting game. The object is to capture the opposing flagship, which is achieved by luring it towards your own flagship or submarine, by enabling it to make successive captures of your own lesser ships (capturing being compulsory where possible). This is an intellectual game - no dice are used. The splendidly detailed metal ships add extra lustre. Previously known as Deutsch-Englischer Seekrieg, published around 1915 with wooden ships.
