Med Döderhultarn på världsomsegling till Blå Jungfrun

Med Döderhultarn på världsomsegling till Blå Jungfrun

  • Description

"Döderhultarn" is the colloquial name for a Swedish artist (woodcarver) called Axel Petersson (1868-1925). "Blå Jungfrun" ("The Blue Maiden") is a small island outside of Sweden which is a nature reserve since 1926. Apparently Döderhultarn was a bit excentric, and also very fond of the island. This game tries to encompass all this in a story of how he travels all over the world before actually reaching Blå Jungfrun.

The game consists of a single sheet of paper, 76 x 54 cm, folded twice to create a thin booklet. Each space the players move through has a small illustration and a short verse, describing what happens.

The game is published to benefit "Svenska typografförbundets invalid- och tuberkulosfonder", the Swedish typographer union's invalid and tuberculosis funds.
