This game plays exactly like UNO. Even though the action cards differ a bit from those of UNO, they're strongly based on them. The game also includes jokers. With a joker you may play an action of your choise. Another difference with UNO, is that this game lacks the scoring mechanism which is included in UNO.

Pirates of the Caribbean:
- Has larger cards
- Drawn images are shown on the cards
- Includes only one joker
- Shows only UNO-like symbols

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest:
- Has normal sized cards
- Photos of the movie are shown on the cards
- Includes three jokers
- Shows besides UNO-like symbols also playing card symbols

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End:
- Has normal sized cards
- Photos of the movie are shown on the cards
- Includes two jokers
- Shows besides UNO-like symbols also playing card symbols
