Quest of Efil is played on three boards, each at a different scale. One board shows a world map, one is for arranging a group of dungeon-like mazes, and the third is for tactical battles. Players take on a role, each described on a character card. These include a hero, a wizard, a master thief, a dwarf king, a cyborg, and a ninja.Players complete a series of quests, each of which has the aim of collecting an item to be used in defeating the final enemy.
