Rope is a game of patterns and quick reaction, inspired by the classic game Ricochet Robot. Player must recreate the pattern or not flipped up from the deck of cards using their own pieces of rope and rings.
The family keeps a giant tin of cords that have no place in modern society. Everything from headphones to splitters to remote control car chargers can be found among the useless tangle of the tin. This hopeless mass is occasionally broken into whenever a need for a random electrical cord arises. While searching for a cord one day, the mess of wires was so cluttered that it needed to be untangled before any cord could be discerned from the heap. The light bulb went off and “Rope” was born. By tangling up knots instead of untying them, a speed-type pattern game could keep players enthralled. The colored yarn and the metal ring would add an additional element to the task of making a knot. If you enjoy “Turbo Taxi” (“Flickwerkz”) or “Set”, then you are ready for tying wicked knots.
Special thanks to Jim at Jolly Roger games: You were a pleasure to work with.
