Sandown

Sandown

  • Description

Themed around a horse race, players place bets before a wheel is spun and the result determined and bets paid out.

The game has been described as a themed version of Roulette with less betting options.

My version is in a small wooden box, about 6 inches square (I have only seen it before in a much larger box). Inside my box there is a metal illustrated spinner, with segments of differing sizes. A betting sheet, on linin-backed paper, completes the game. Players bet in boxes on the betting sheet. Odds for the horses reflect the different sized segments on the spinner. No rules in my set but there might not have been any. It is very obvious how to play it. The box even has a key so that you cal lock it (you can't say that about many game boxes!).
