Ultimate: The Board Game is a Print & Play conversion of the popular sport of Ultimate Frisbee. It is a 2-Player game between two teams of seven, using a large hex and counter board, dice and its own deck of cards for special Tactics.A line drawn across the board at either end creates two 'endzones'. These are the goal-scoring areas. A goal is scored when a team completes a pass to a piece standing (or more likely moving) into the endzone they are attacking.By passing from piece to piece, the offense attempts to work the Disc up the board towards the endzone they are attacking. If the Disc hits the ground, is intercepted or knocked down by the other team, then the opposition takes possession. Possession also changes if a receiver is outside the playing area when it catches the Disc.The defending team attempts to stop the team with the Disc from making progress up field by marking them (as in soccer or basketball). The theory is that the offense won't want to pass to a player who is being marked closely, as it's likely to result in an interception.
