Warhammer Quest: Chaos Dwarf Expansion
-
Description
Excerpt from the introduction of the Chaos Dwarf Roleplay book:
"Players are most likely accustomed to playing Warhammer Quest as one of the Warriors in the core game, or possibly as one of the expansion characters, such as the Wardancer, Imperial Noble or Pit Fighter, for example. Similarly, players have also had access to official characters (meaning not characters created by fans) who are aligned with the forces of Chaos, in the case of the Chaos Warrior, or are at the very least unlikely to be seen as do-gooders, such as in the case of the Ogre.
If the players are so inclined they may forgo their usual characters with which they are accustomed, and take up a life of adventuring as a band of Chaos Dwarfs!"The expansion rule book contains all the material necessary for players to adventure in the Warhammer world as Chaos Dwarfs (Dawi Zharr), working diligently to establish the city Zharr Grungron Ankor as the next great Dawi Zharr city.
This is an unofficial fan-made supplement to Warhammer Quest (and not endorsed by Games Workshop), which replaces much of the information and tables in the core game Roleplay Book with new Chaos Dwarf-themed material. Instead of adventuring as one of the regular 'good guy' Warriors players instead follow the path of Chaos as a Hashut-worshipping Chaos Dwarf!
The Roleplay Book contains:
Four Chaos Dwarf player characters
Supplemental rules specific to Chaos Dwarfs (including capturing slaves)
Chaos Dwarf-themed variations of Dungeon Events
Chaos Dwarf-themed variations of Travelling Hazards
Chaos Dwarf-themed variations of Settlement Events
New Settlement shops and items as well as special Settlement locations
Chaos Dwarf Advancement tables and Skills
Chaos Dwarf Spells
Chaos Dwarf-themed Dungeon Treasure and Objective Room Treasure
Replacement Monster Tables (Battle-Levels 1-10 and the insane Daemonic Monster Table!)
Four introductory Adventures which set the tone and feel of adventuring as a Chaos DwarfThe Roleplay Book was released Aug. 11th, 2010. A supplemental Chaos Dwarf Adventure Book will follow, which will contain expansion characters (Hobgoblin Sneaky Git and the Bull Centaur) as well as over 36 Adventures. Each Adventure can be played as a one-off game, however many of the Adventures woven into multiple intersecting storylines for use in casual campaigns as well as hardcore roleplay campaigns.
